April 2025 Market Statistics.

🏡 April 2025 Housing Market Update – Your Local Snapshot

The April housing statistics are in, and as always, I’m here to break down what’s happening in the areas I work in. Let’s take a look at how our local markets are performing:


📍 Abilene

  • Median Price: $210,500 (⬇️ 9.4% from April 2024)

  • Active Listings: 527 (⬆️ 6.3%)

  • Days on Market: 92 (6 days longer than last year)

Buyers are seeing more inventory and softening prices, while sellers are experiencing slightly longer timeframes to close.


📍 Taylor County

  • Median Price: $226,250 (⬇️ 5.7%)

  • Active Listings: 671 (⬆️ 3.4%)

  • Days on Market: 101 (15 days longer than April 2024)

Similar trends continue in Taylor County, with steady listing growth and homes taking more time to sell.


📍 Jones County

  • Median Price: $198,450 (⬇️ 6.4%)

  • Active Listings: 64 (⬆️ 3.2%)

  • Days on Market: 122 (up 24 days from last year)

Jones County is seeing more listings and longer selling cycles, offering a potentially favorable environment for buyers.


📍 Callahan County

  • Median Price: $209,000 (⬆️ 13.6% from April 2024)

  • Active Listings: 67 (⬆️ 19.6%)

  • Days on Market: 125 (up 37 days from last year)

Callahan County bucks the regional trend with rising home prices, though listings are staying on the market significantly longer.


📍 Eastland County

  • Median Price: $167,000 (⬇️ 37% from last April)

  • Days on Market: 114 (⬇️ 63 days – big improvement!)

Eastland County stands out with a dramatic price drop but a major improvement in days on market—homes are selling much faster despite lower price points.
